Fiona Veronique (b.1993, France] is a photographer and artist fascinated by depicting the amorphous boundary between the real and the imaginary through quotidian still lives and landscapes and staged theatrical portraits. Her recent practice focuses on capturing inner and outer worlds in organized spiritual communities as well as unraveling her family’s intertwined history with the occult. Veronique is a Photography MFA candidate at Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester, NY [26’] and received her BFA in Photography from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY [15’]. Her photographs have been featured in publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The 19th News, BOOOOOOOM, Then There Was Us, Musée Magazine, and AINTBAD. Most recently, she was a finalist for the Film Photo Award 2025, was selected for the Palm* Photo Prize 2024 exhibition and her ongoing project, The White Handkerchief, which looks at a rural Iowa town centered around transcendental meditation, was shortlisted for the Athens Photo Festival in 2024. Her photobook Riddle, an exploration of mythologies in the American West, was published by Antics Publications in 2020. She was selected for the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2022. Veronique currently lives and works in Rochester, NY.
